The Better Together Community Bus helps people to connect to their community with a door-to-door service. We pick up and drop off Seniors and the frail-aged at their doorsteps. Our bus runs help to keep them linked to the community by bringing them shopping, helping them attend to health appointments and also social activities.
Our volunteers also help passengers get on or off the bus and help transfer shopping into the bus.
The regular bus runs include:

Passengers must book in advance.
This is a volunteer service that delivers necessities to vulnerable community members within the Tableland region who are unable, or do not have access to other services or personal networks to help in time of need
If you, or someone you know would like to use this service, please contact the Community Development Worker at the Better Together Neighbourhood Centre to access the service.
The person using this service simply has to call their usual retailer e.g. butcher, place their order and tell the retailer the service will be picking it up. They then call the Centre to place their booking.
Our bus drivers have in place safe health practices including social distancing and hygiene standards to keep the community safe.
We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which Better Together Community Support operates, being Tablelands Yidinji, Dulabed Malanbarra, Mamu, Jirrbal, Ngadjon-jii, Bar-Barrum, Warrungnu, Ewamian, Tagalaka and Koko Muluridji. We recognise the continuing connection to land, waters, cultures and kin that our Traditional Owners uphold. We pay our respect to Elders past and present, who give us strength, inspiration and guidance to deliver great outcomes for all Tablelanders.
